Call for Biomag 2010 Symposia and Workshops Print E-mail

Proposals are solicited for 90-minute symposia and workshops.

We encourage you to include in the proposals contributions addressing most recent advances on both health and disease, translational research, hot topics and novel approaches in the field of biomagnetism and related fields.

The Biomag 2010 Scientific Program Committee will evaluate all proposals on thematic relevance and scientific quality. Applicants are encouraged to invite speakers from other institutions; no laboratory should be represented by more than one speaker. Diversity of speakers will be part of the selection criteria. The number of speakers is limited to four. By the time of the application submission, all speakers will have already agreed to participate, and been familiarized with the funding conditions below. Symposia and workshops are chaired by one person; a justification for two chairpersons is required. It is recommended that no more than one chairperson be among the four speakers. The SPC may ask the organizers to modify their proposals and/or recommend the proposed symposia / workshops for satellite events of Biomag 2010. If the chair or speakers cannot make it, the SPC reserves the option to cancel the symposium or workshop and select a replacement.

To receive notifications, please ensure that the following e-mail addresses are not blocked: biomag2010@biomag2010.org, chair@biomag2010.org, sec_general@biomag2010.org.

Funding: Biomag2010 will waive the registration fee of the symposium / workshop chairperson. The speakers are entitled to an early regular registration fee, independent of the time of registration. Biomag2010 will meet no other expenses of chairpersons and speakers.

Symposium / workshop organizers are kindly asked to make sure that all partners of a proposal are familiar with the conditions. It is up to the proposal organizers and/or proposed speakers to obtain funding for travel and other expenses.
