Dubrovnik can be reached by air, see and land. Exceptionally good air connections via regular commercial flights from all European centers and some in the USA makes flying as a preferred option. We are pleased to announce the STAR ALLIANCE as the Official Airline Network for BIOMAG 2010 and all its satellite events in Dubrovnik.

In planning your travel please try to avoid:

  1. Too short transfer times (45 minutes or less) as your luggage can arrive a day or two later;
  2. Arrival to Dubrovnik after sunset as the north wind called bura can be too strong in the evening hours and landing can be directed to the airport in Split which translates into an additional 4 hours bus drive. All of you that will book direct bus transfers from the Cilipi airport to your hotels will in that case have transfers from the Dubrovnik Central bus station to your hotels.

Transport from the airport to the Rixos Libertas Hotel and other hotels:
  1. Star Direct return transfers airport Cilipi - hotels - airport Cilipi can be reserved using Hotel reservation and transfer form. The price for a return transfer per person is 12 EUR.
  2. A taxi from the airport to the venue and other hotels (about HRK 250-300 or € 35-40);
  3. A regular bus from the airport to the Pile Gate and 1) take a taxi or 2)bus-No.6 (2 bus stops to the venue hotel Rixos Libertas Hotel, Bellevue Hotel and Lero Hotel; 5 bus stops to the Ivka Hotel) or bus-No. 5 for Excelsior Hotel .


Ticket prices for regular bus transfers:

  • One-way ticket from the Cilipi airport to the Pile bus station costs 35 HRK and is sold on board the bus.


One-way ticket price for the bus No. 5 or 6:

  • HRK 10 when purchased on board from the bus driver,
  • HRK 8 for a single ticket when purchesed in the bus-office at the Pile station,
  • HRK 120 for a set of 20 tickets when purchased in the bus-office at the Pile station (recommended).
